Figures on the Battlefield

My new ebookA Favorite Son,  is a new-age twist on the old yarn of the biblical story of Jacob and Esau. I launched the ebook in a worldwide facebook event that has has come to its conclusion. So now I wish to share with you one of the activities that happened during the event.

I posed this question: Which figure from history, mythology or the bible inspires you? Joan of Arc? Moses? Perseus? The good samaritan? Spiderman? The snake in the garden of Eden? Mary Magdalene? Then, in response to the answers from people taking part in the event, I brought everybody's favorite figures one by one onto a single scene: a battlefield! What meeting place would be more exciting?

You can see how the scene becomes more and more populated as the battle heats up:

The last image is a detail from the battleground scene. You can see my sculpted pieces of Jacob and his mother Rebecca, as they are plotting against his father Isaac. They are unable to look each other in the eye while doing this. This is what my book, A Favorite Son, is all about. The contemplation of the crime, and once it has been committed--the unavidable pangs of remorse...

The current battlefield scene, with:
Joan of Arc, St Michael, Sigfried, Priapus, Ruth, David and Bathsheba,
Leonidas, Achilles, The Good Samaritan, Esther, Jacob and Rebecca,
swami vivekanand, Vlad Dracula, Abraham and Isaac, Raul Duke,
Crazy Horse, Hannibal, Ghingiz KhanIceni Queen Boudicca,
Dwight David Eisenhower
