I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was a touching tale of Lenny and Natasha when they first met. It was so interesting to hear their love story from the beginning after the first two books tell their current story. The story is grounded in the present, where the last books left off, but is focused on memories, vividly told, from Lenny's perspective. The realistic emotions portrayed in this book are tangible. I found myself feeling genuine emotion while listening to their story. The narration is very well done. All in all, this is a masterpiece of an audio book and well worth the time.

The Music of Us
Another wonderful book from Uvi Poznansky. “The Music of Us (Still Life with Memories Book 3)” is mesmerizing. The author tells stories in a beautiful style that is both lyrical and poetic, a style that makes it a pleasure to read her books. Reading Poznansky is like entering a dream, a very real dream – colorful, imaginative and flowing. Highly recommended. Five stars.
Dancing with Air
Once again Uvi Poznansky, one of my favorite authors, has captivated me. "Dancing with Air (Still Life with Memories Book 4)" by Uvi Poznansky, is another wonderful story in this series (a great family saga). I'd recommend starting with the first book, but this one can also be read as a standalone. If you like historical fiction and an intelligent love story, you're in for a treat. Beyond that, if you haven't read this author before, you'll find her rich "artistic" writing style to be fresh and addictive. Highest recommendation. Five stars.
Marriage Before Death
Impressed. This story, “Marriage before Death: WWII Spy Thriller (Still Life with Memories Book 5)” by Uvi Poznansky , is both beautifully told and gritty. I found her writing to be irresistible in that the historical drama is fascinating and yet flows in a stylized blend of literary prose and riveting passages. Great read. Highly recommended. Five stars.

Marriage Before Death
Ms. Poznansky has done it again, but this time—and I don’t say this lightly—she has written my favorite book to date in her stable of literary gems.
Marriage Before Death continues in the Still Life With Memories series, which paints stories of the lives of Lenny and Natasha Kaminsky. (Book 1: My Own Voice, Book 2: The White Piano, Book 3: The Music of Us, Book 4: Dancing with Air)
In this story, Ms. Poznansky eloquently shifts from her previous genre of literary stories full of romance, to a wartime suspense story, still, however, continuing with the love story of our beloved couple.
I have always adored Ms. Poznansky's evocative writing, but this time she whisked me into the era of WWII French Resistance Fighters in 1944. And what an adventure it was! I trembled in my virtual boots beside Lenny when he was captured by Nazi soldiers, “this close” to being executed. He stood in a line of captured soldiers and resistance fighters, waiting to be sent to one group or the other. One group would be immediately hung in the gallows that loomed nearby, the other would be used in some fashion to help the Nazi cause. The tension was riveting.
I listened to the audiobook version of this fascinating story, told by the talented Mr. Don Warrick. His male character voices are outstanding, and his accents—whether it be British, French, German, Jewish, or American, the rendering is brilliant and on target. The female voices aren’t quite as effective, in my humble opinion, but honestly, one can’t fault a deep, stentorian narrator for not being able to completely sound like a woman. ;o)
Thank you, Ms. Poznansky, for allowing us to continue to believe that America still produces great writers who judiciously craft each sentence, and who can tell a great story at the same time.
- Highly recommended by Aaron Lazar, multi award-winning author.

Dancing with Air
Dancing with Air by Uvi Poznansky is a lyrical tour se force set in World War II in England. Poetic, evocative, and at times langorously delicious, the new audiobook version adds even more to the sense of "being there" along side the delightful characters who, by the way, span a series of novels over the course of their lifetimes.
One of the lovely gifts embedded in this series is a collection of beautiful poems set to music to represent songs of the era. Mr. Warrick, the phenomenal narrator of this story, creates some memorable tunes with his amazing voice.
Do yourself a favor and download this romantic adventure. Then sit back, push play, and let the beauty wash over you.
Highly recommended for all book lovers!

The Music of Us
A Lyrical Gift to Readers
When I write a book review, I don’t like to rehash the plot—that information is easily accessible in the book description. What I prefer is to share how the book made me feel, and what I valued between its covers.
Uvi Poznansky is a literary tour de force in a contemporary age when the quality of writing often takes a back seat to the quick thrill, or to be more precise, the quick buck. She writes as she paints, with careful, vibrant strokes of amazing clarity and color. Whether you are a reader or writer, teacher or student, you owe it to yourself read her work. You will be transported to a world where life is examined from a poet’s point of view, where you live in vignettes so real that you can’t help but love and care for the characters.
I have read all of Poznansky’s work, but this book resonated more deeply with me than all the previous titles, which I truly enjoyed. I suppose it is because I am an inveterate romantic. I ached for the young, “flashback” characters to come together. I shouted at them to wake up and smell the coffee when they missed opportunities to get together, and I reveled in the sweet endings when they finally connected.
The atmosphere of the 1940s is beautifully portrayed, and on a secondary level only to the (mostly) unrequited love story, it was my next treasured experience while reading this book. I loved the sounds and sights of the era, the music, the cars, and the lifestyles so well depicted. It was a fascinating dip into the life of those dynamic times.
If you are aching for a lyrical read, for something above and beyond the usual offerings in the field of fiction, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Uvi Poznansky’s The Music of Us.

“Damn animal!” she screams, while chasing him
Now, a big commotion breaks out. The nurse gasps, cries, threatens, which makes the dog leap off my pillow, his tail tickling my nose with a feathery touch, which in a blink, makes me itch to sneeze.
“Damn animal!” she screams, while chasing him under, over, and around my bed.
I won’t be the least bit surprised if some of the life-support instruments get unplugged in the process, or if their wires get all tangled up, all for the better good of catching the beast.
I open half an eye—which takes a lot out of me—just to see if everything is still in place. No one pays attention to me except for Browny. Pa chuckles, then joins the nurse in hot pursuit. There is a thump against the floor with every step she makes. Then the air seems to shriek as she throws herself at the dog. Somehow, she ends up being pushed onto the bed, by accident of course.
When at long last, Dad manages to get hold of the leash, I let my eye fall shut. I feel exhausted. Browny is led away, yapping miserably all the way down the corridor. Woof.

"Coma Confidential" is the first in a two-part series by USA Today best-selling author Uvi Poznansky. Told in the first person, the story is a page-turner about Ash, a young woman who finds herself in a hospital with no recollection of who she is or what happened to her. Little by little, she is able to piece together her identity as well as the horrendous rape and beating that left her near-death and in a coma. The story continues to escalate as Ash again finds herself in peril at the hands of a high school “friend” who betrays her, the Russian agent who seeks a computer program Ash’s boyfriend created in high school, and the thug who almost killed her. Some of the story comes close to a level of science fiction, but it’s too similar to many things that are happening right now to discount as something that could never “really” take place. We can hope, but it’s that flirting with reality that makes this story such a compulsive read. Plot twists and suspenseful storytelling make this a book that you will have trouble putting down. I’ve read Book 2 (Virtually Lace), and am really looking forward to any additional volumes in this series!

The voice of Coma Confidential
Today I have the pleasure of introducing an amazing narrator, Heather Jane Hogan. I love the intimacy and warmth in her voice and her interpretation of several of my stories, including Apart from Love and Twisted, and I am thrilled that she agreed to undertake narration of Coma Confidential.
And here are a few quotes of what Heather says about herself:
And here are a few quotes of what Heather says about herself:
- "I work as a Voiceover. In case you’re not sure what that is, Webster’s definition of a voiceover is, “the voice of an offscreen narrator, announcer, or the like.” For me, it was an easy transition from stage and film acting to voice. I love telling a good story, so voiceover has been a great fit for me."
- "In 1999, I went skydiving. I’ll never forget it. It wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be exhilarating; that I would land and shout something like, “WOO HOO!!”… but… at least for me, it was more of an overwhelming experience. Afterwards, I just wanted to sit and contemplate my belly button."
- "In 2003 and 2004 I won the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), hosted by http://www.nanowrimo.org. They host a challenge every year during the month of November for you to write a novel. It doesn’t have to be good, no one reads it for proof (the contest is honor-based) – but you have to write 50,000 words in one month (the definition of a novel). It’s a great and challenging exercise, even if you’re not a writer."
- "I sing in the car. Loudly. I’m that woman you see on the highway, belting out tunes as if she were on stage somewhere and blissfully unconcerned that other people on the highway can see me."
- "I love roller coasters. The more twisty-turny-upside-down-back-and-forth-hair-raising, the better."

Welcome to Literary world with Kathryn Gauchi
Kathryn Gauci, a talented historical fiction writer and a friend, just posted an interview with me. Kathryn was born in Leicestershire, England, and studied textile design at Loughborough College of Art and later at Kidderminster College of Art and Design where she specialised in carpet design and technology. After graduating, Kathryn spent a year in Vienna, Austria before moving to Greece where she worked as a carpet designer in Athens for six years. This is how she welcomed me to the interview:
I am always in awe of multi-talented people who have several careers and are successful in all of them. “If you want something done, give it to a busy person” springs to mind here. My guest today on A Literary World is one such person. Uvi Poznansky has a B.A. in Architecture and Town Planning from the Technion in Haifa, Israel, and after moving to Troy, N.Y. she earned her M.A. in Architecture. This was followed by a M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Michigan. In addition to her academic career, she is an accomplished artist having exhibited in California and Israel. On top of this eye-watering list of achievements, she is a highly successful author.
Welcome to A Literary World, Uvi. It’s a pleasure to have you with us.
Can you tell us a little about yourself? Where do you live and when did you start writing?
