A lover’s cocktail

My new novel, Dancing with Air, has two things in common with the last novel, The Music of Us: First, it's a love story. And Second, each chapter features lyrics, written by me, bringing back the sounds of WWII era and also to reflect the state of mind of the main character, Lenny.

Here is a little taste of it, and I can't wait to hear it set to music:

Swirl in the air of daybreak, and mix in a kiss
Add a splash of blue winter, ‘cause you I miss
Stir it all together, toast a moment apart
Back into my arms is a long way to chart

Cool it with ice, throw in a lost star
Serve it bitter, to the sound of a lonely guitar
Drink it in one gulp, before you set sail
Let me have a taste of a lover’s cocktail

A beautiful love story

Living in a small sunny town on the southwest coast in Finland, Jennifer Loiske is  is a Teen/YA paranormal fiction author, with four exciting series available worldwide. I am honored to find her heartfelt , eloquent review of my novel, The Music of Us:

This review is from: The Music of Us (Still Life with Memories Book 3) (Kindle Edition)
I’ve grown to love Uvi Poznansky’s writing style, which is why I wanted to read this book. Most of the story takes place in World War Two. Now, before you say anything, I’m not a huge fan of historical stories but occasionally there is a gem among them. A story so good that even a sworn paranormal romance lover like me gets swept away with it. This was it.

The words flowed like the sweetest poem on the paper and made the love story between Lenny and Natasha live. Even with the difficult topic, the story was written so heartbreakingly warmly that it simply melted my heart. The author clearly is not afraid to handle difficult issues. Quite the opposite! She skillfully guided me to the world that was new to me, handed me Altzheimer, asked me to suck it up and see behind the illness, and wrapped me around her finger by drowning me with a bunch of emotions that made me cry like a baby. Well done! Well done indeed.

This is not an ordinary read but a journey through time, a peek to our past and a reminder that the best things in life are not bound by any rules, time or age. Highly recommended!

The Charming Gift of Rhyme

Here is a lovely review that put a big smile on my lips, for my children's book Jess and Wiggle:

With the lightest of touches, talented artist/author Uvi Poznansky inks and pens her way through this delightful book, reminiscent of old school illustrators and writers from the past. Using an antique curly-Q looking font, we are introduced to Jess, “a little girl with the cutest red curl,” who doesn’t like to smile. Inspired by the book’s absolute charm, I can’t help but finish my review like this (not nearly as good as the author’s, btw!)

No matter how many games one plays,
Jess meets each person with a solemn gaze.
Until up crops Wiggle in her sock,
Now HE has the amazing gift of shock.
And shock he does with huge savoir faire,
Making this charming children’s book
Something we all should share!

In the spirit of spring: A warm sweet feeling infiltrated her heart

A warm sweet feeling infiltrated her heart–like the coffee Olivia had earlier forced into her cold, shocked hands. Holding his gaze was doing something funny to her insides, and she looked away while nodding. “Yeah. Thanks.”
“You know, I could probably raise hell until they let you stay in the room. Just a perk of the occupation.”
Jack was a man accustomed to getting what he wanted. At this, her mind stopped processing anything but that thought as she seriously considered what he offered. He was right. Tristan was a rock star’s son. That came with such privileges. Although she often condemned this sort of spoiled celebrity behavior, she now completely related when it came to a situation such as this. Protectively, she would have done anything a few minutes ago to stay in that room.
Nodding, she replied, “I’ll think about it. But, it’s okay for now. If he–if he gets worse, I would want to. Or, if he wakes up and they don’t let me.”
“Tell me. Okay? Anything you need.”
“Okay.” A gulp lodged in her throat, and she couldn’t look away. This was the considerate, chivalric man she remembered.
This was the man who had offered her a cold drink on a hot day, who had seemed embarrassed to hand her a pen and a legal document during a kiss, who had held and touched her like a lover not a quick lay where countless others had lain, who had gently kissed her before holding the door open as she walked out of his life.
